How was Microsoft Ignite The Tour (São Paulo) and MVP Get Together 2018

Hey guys!
In this post, I would like to share with you what my experience was like at Microsoft Ignite The Tour (São Paulo) and at MVP Get Together 2018, held in the 2 days following Ignite, at Microsoft, as I had announced that I would participate in this post here.

Held in various locations around the world, São Paulo was 2nd on the list roadmap, which you can see in the image below:

The event was sensational, bringing together almost 4,000 people at the Transamérica Expo Center, the same location as the Tech Summit in 2017. With an impeccable structure worthy of a Microsoft event, the place was very large, comfortably accommodating everyone who was present. Even though the event was FREE and open to anyone who wanted to participate, this crowd of technology lovers were able to have lunch and snacks at the venue for free.

We had several simultaneous technical sessions on various topics, such as SQL Server 2019, Windows Server 2019, AI, Office 365, Azure, Data Security and much more, both in English and Portuguese. All lectures had a very interesting technical level, some more advanced and others more introductory, to suit all audiences.

In addition to the regular, official event sessions, Microsoft has made several Meeting Pods and Demo Stations available so that people can share a project, tool, idea or solution with other people at the event, in a technical, practical and informal way. I found this idea very interesting, as it makes the event even richer and more interactive. It was even up to me to give a quick presentation about Power BI Report Server... lol

Another cool space is “The Hub”, with specific spaces for various other activities, with Microsoft Community sections, Ask the Experts, with Microsoft MVPs and stands from suppliers and sponsors, presenting tools, solutions and promoting giveaways.

And there's more... What about networking? We have to interact with other professionals in our field, to share ideas, experiences and success and failure stories, right? This adds a lot to our career and is extremely important! I met a lot of cool people at this event, huh! Many professionals I already followed on social media and had never had the privilege of meeting in person... The event was great!

And to finish, in the two days following Microsoft Ignite, I participated in the MVP Get Together 2018 event, held at Microsoft headquarters, for MVP's Brazil to interact, disseminate content and share information. It was really cool to interact with so many experts and excellent professionals, from different areas, I learned a lot from these people.
