Are you all right?

Today we had another SQL Server ES meeting and I was able to talk to several people about the IT market, do some cool networking and I could see that many people have very interesting questions or knowledge to share, but I am not participating in any groups on Telegram, Slack or Whatsapp, that is, they do not interact with the technical community, not for lack of interest, but for lack of knowledge about these great communication channels.

Therefore, I will share here some excellent channels for technical discussions, where you can teach, learn and interact with other great professionals in the Data Platform area.

Telegram

  • Azure Brazil: The Telegram group for topics related to Azure and Cloud.
  • SQL Maniacs: The official Telegram group for SQL Saturday in SP.
  • SQL Server DBA: Exclusive SQL Server group with more than 1,700 members throughout Brazil.
  • DBA Brazil: Group with more than 1,800 members from all over Brazil, to talk about SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL and other DBMSs.
  • MCSA – MCSE Data Platform: Group designed to share experiences, knowledge and materials for Microsoft certification tests (MTA, MCSA, MCSE).
  • SQLCLR Maniacs: Exclusive group for discussion about SQLCLR (see here to know what SQLCLR is in SQL Server.
  • Power BI – Planilheiros Brasil: Group designed to discuss the PowerBI, DAX, MDX tool and topics related to BI and Power BI by the largest Power BI and training company in Brazil
  • SQL Server ES: Group designed to discuss SQL Server formed exclusively by IT professionals from Espírito Santo on Telegram.
  • SQL North: Exclusive Data Platform group (SQL Server, Power BI, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS) of professionals from the North of Brazil.

Whatsapp

  • SQL Server ES: Group designed to discuss SQL Server formed exclusively by IT professionals from Espírito Santo on Whatsapp.
  • MCSA – MCSE Data Platform: Group designed to share experiences, knowledge and materials for Microsoft certification tests (MTA, MCSA, MCSE).
  • SQLCLR Maniacs: Exclusive group for discussion about SQLCLR (see here to know what SQLCLR is in SQL Server.
  • MS SQL Server Authority: DBA Gilberto Rosa's group, intended for discussions about SQL Server and sharing scripts

It is worth mentioning that there are several other large groups on Whatsapp, such as SQL Maniacs itself, but these are closed groups and only allow guests, due to Whatsapp limitations, which only allow 256 members in the group. I tried to list here only public and open groups, which allow entry using an invitation via link.
